Romania and Chad

Both have vertical blue, yellow and red stripes. Chad usually uses a darker blue. Image files and screens can affect how clear this difference looks, so colour alone is a difficult memory aid.
Indonesia, Monaco and Poland

Indonesia and Monaco have red above white. Indonesia’s height-to-width ratio is 2:3; Monaco’s is 4:5, making it less elongated. Poland has white above red.
Ireland and Côte d’Ivoire

From left to right, Ireland reads green–white–orange; Côte d’Ivoire reads orange–white–green. Remember that Ireland starts with green.
Netherlands and Luxembourg

Both have horizontal red, white and blue stripes. Luxembourg uses a lighter blue. Compare the bottom stripe, bearing in mind that screens can make colour differences less obvious.
Guinea and Mali

Guinea starts with red and ends with green. Mali starts with green and ends with red. Both keep yellow in the middle.
Senegal and Cameroon

Senegal has green–yellow–red stripes with a green central star. Cameroon has green–red–yellow stripes with a yellow central star. Check the middle stripe first, then the star.
